So lets learn about how Firewall works

Internet is a connection of computers. In our computer we open any browser and always use internet.

When we search for a site, the request already goes to the internet and withing seconds we get a reply from the computer that has the content you want from the internet.

But some times hackers can access to the internet connection  and they try to steal your sensitive information for their purposes.

But don't worry , you have a guardian called firewall in your computer to protect your PC from outsiders.

Firewalls try to maintain a list of allowed and not-allowed.

Ex.

Guys lets take Sam the hacker and you.Sam the hacker is written in the not allowed section and firewall is always stay alert  with Sam.  

You what to access www.abc.com and you request to the internet.Then internet send the reply back to you but Sam also send you a reply to hacker your PC.

Science  Sam the hacker name in written in the not-allowed section of the list, so whatever he send the firewall block them all and protect you. 

• This method of protection is called as Packet Filtering. 
• And the list is called access list
